A variety of volunteer roles and shift times are available. Once you register\, more detailed information will be provided closer to the event. Volunteers get a T-shirt from Recover Brands\, a coffee or meal from Summit Coffee\, and discounted registration for ATC. \nEvery volunteer who signs up through Sustain Charlotte helps support our mission. DESCRIPTION:(Photo: “Bloom” mural by Osiris Rain) \nJoin Sustain Charlotte and ArtWalks CLT for a colorful adventure through NoDa\, where art\, community\, and great urban design come together! \nGuided by a local mural artist and ArtWalks CLT founder Anne Low\, we’ll enjoy a leisurely walk through one of Charlotte’s most creative neighborhoods\, stopping along the way to uncover the stories behind some of its most striking murals. You’ll learn how public art reflects a community’s identity\, sparks conversation\, and helps create vibrant places where people want to live\, work\, and spend time. \nWe’ll also visit a street mural that Sustain Charlotte and the Charlotte Department of Transportation helped create during Open Streets 704 in 2018\, exploring how art can transform public spaces and strengthen neighborhoods. \nAlong the route\, we’ll take a closer look at what makes NoDa such a walkable\, bike-friendly\, and transit-connected community. Whether you arrive by light rail\, bus\, bike\, or on foot\, you’ll discover how thoughtful transportation and placemaking work together to create healthier\, more connected neighborhoods—and leave inspired with ideas for making it easier to drive less and help shape a more vibrant Charlotte. \nCome curious\, meet fellow city lovers\, and experience NoDa through a whole new lens! \nIMPORTANT: Event capacity is limited to 30 participants due to the interactive nature of the tour. Register early to avoid disappointment! \nGet Your Tickets Now! \nWhen: 10:00am – 12:00pm (2 hours) on Saturday\, September 26th 2026. \nWhere: Check in at our table\, set up in the parking lot between Amelie’s and Sprouts. We’ll send registered participants more details prior to the event. \nCarpooling\, biking\, and walking are encouraged. We recommend public transit\, as our starting location is a short walk from the 36th St Blue Line light rail station. CATS bus routes #3 and #11 serve this area. Parking available on surrounding side streets\, select lots\, and 36th St deck. Please carpool if possible. \nCost: The standard ticket is $20 and supports Sustain Charlotte’s work. If this isn’t feasible for you — or if you’d like to donate more — we have a “Choose Your Price” option. Everyone is welcome! \nHow to prepare: Dress for the weather and your comfort\, including comfortable shoes. Remember a reusable water bottle\, sunscreen\, and sunglasses.
