SUMMARY:Party in the Park: An Annual Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Kilborne Park in east Charlotte for a community gathering to celebrate all we’ve accomplished together so far this year! \nWhether you’ve followed Sustain Charlotte for years or this is your first event\, we’d love to see you. \nWe’ll provide light refreshments from Manolo’s Bakery\, family-friendly games and activities\, and plenty of opportunities to connect with Sustain Charlotte staff\, board members\, and fellow supporters. Stop by anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. \n11:30 – Short guided nature walk \n12:00 – Want to hear what’s next for our parks and greenways? Bert Lynn\, Director of the Capital Planning Division at Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation\, will join us to share a brief update and will then be available to answer questions. \nKids can enjoy the playground\, adults can try disc golf\, and everyone can explore the park’s nature trails. And\, of course\, we’d love to answer your questions about transportation\, smart growth\, housing\, or Charlotte’s future. \nPlease RSVP so we can plan accordingly\, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. We hope to see you there! \nWhile we won’t have childcare available\, you’re welcome to bring your kids and supervise them.  \nAccessibility: We want this event to be welcoming and accessible for everyone.  72-hour notice is appreciated to allow us time to ensure we fully meet your needs.

SUMMARY:Bike & Walk with the Charlotte Regional Transportation Coalition
DESCRIPTION:Charlotte Regional Transportation Coalition (CRTC) is a diverse coalition of organizations and individuals committed to building the transportation systems the Charlotte area needs if it is to grow and prosper in an equitable\, sustainable way. The coalition is convened\, facilitated\, and funded by Sustain Charlotte. \nCRTC is hosting an advocacy workshop on Saturday\, May 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at Kilborne Park (2600 Kilborne Drive). If you can\, please plan to ride or bring your bike for a group ride or lace up your tennis shoes for a walk during the workshop! You are also welcome to stay at the park for a guided group dialogue if you prefer not to bike or walk. Snacks will be provided but please bring your own water bottle! \nLearn more and register here.
