Stay tuned for Biketoberfest 2026

The date and pre-registration for Biketoberfest 2026 will be announced soon!

What is Sustain Charlotte's Biketoberfest?

Biketoberfest is Sustain Charlotte’s signature event—and your chance to explore the city on an epic, family-friendly scavenger hunt! Walk, run, or bike along a designated route, collect goodies and raffle tickets at local stops, and experience how fun and easy it can be to get around Charlotte without a car.

We launched Biketoberfest in 2015 to highlight how bikeable South End and Uptown can be—and to raise funds to support our mission. Since then, it’s grown into one of Charlotte’s most exciting events, spanning multiple neighborhoods and becoming our largest annual fundraiser.

In one fun-filled day, you’ll help build a healthier, more equitable, and better-connected community for generations to come.

How does Biketoberfest work?

This family-friendly scavenger hunt takes place throughout the Charlotte area.

Participants are given adventure passports and are welcome to bike, walk, or use local transit to navigate the route and visit new destinations, support local businesses, see the infrastructure available to support safer riding, and collect stamps in their passports along the way. Participants are also welcome to dress up! Costumes are welcome.

At the end of the event, there is an after-party at Triple C Brewing, where participants can exchange those stamps for raffle tickets to win prizes. The after-party also includes vendors, food, live music, and a limited-release Biketoberfest beer!
