Join us for our volunteer training to become an ambassador for Sustain Charlotte!
This free, 2-hour training session will guide attendees (16 years and older) through a presentation about the mission, history, and “why” of Sustain Charlotte. Attendees will have a chance to learn about advocacy and educational efforts being taken today to generate a healthier, more equitable, and vibrant community.
Attendees will also be invited to engage with local sustainability resources, participate in a scenario activity, and review talking points to build the skills and confidence necessary to represent Sustain Charlotte at community events. At the end of this training, attendees will be issued a certificate of completion to signify their new knowledge and encourage them to take the next step: attending their first outreach event!
We will also be providing an optional 30-minute,1.5 mile urban design walk after the training to allow you to see firsthand how smart growth works right here in our community. We’ll end the walk at the South End Farmers Market where previously certified ambassadors will join us to share their experience. This is a great opportunity to meet other folks who care about our mission and the sustainability of Charlotte!
Thank you in advance to everyone who will attend this event. We can’t do this amazing work without you!
