Know before you go: Prep for the 2024 election

To help our followers better navigate the local election scene and understand where each candidate stands on a range of important issues that affect local sustainability, in partnership with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Climate Leaders coalition, we surveyed candidates running for the office of County Commissioner.

As a 501(c)3 organization, we cannot endorse candidates, but we can inform you of where the candidates stand on issues that we think are important.

As you fill out your ballot, consider where you want your elected officials to stand on things like local climate action, mobility, transportation choices, planning and development, green space, land use, food security, and our tree canopy.

We reached out to all candidates who filed with Mecklenburg County. Here are the responses, verbatim as submitted by the candidates, that we received.

The general election day is November 5. Check your voter registration and see your precinct.
