Inspiring local leaders honored at 10th Annual Charlotte Sustainability Awards
Sustain Charlotte hosted an evening of celebration and inspiration at the 10th Annual Charlotte Sustainability Awards Presented by Duke Energy on April 22.
Over the past decade, Sustain Charlotte has lifted up and honored more than 500 organizations and individuals who are moving our region toward sustainability.
“Ten years ago we began holding this event because we believed, as we do today, that it is important to lift up the many people and organizations doing the work that moves our community toward sustainability,” said Shannon Binns, founder and executive director of Sustain Charlotte.
“We believed then, as we do today, that all of us have a role to play. And, working together, with a shared sense of purpose and vision for what we want our community to become, our vision can be achieved.”
This year’s sold-out dinner, fundraiser, and networking event, which was emceed by Director of Leadership for LEAD NC, Ray McKinnon, recognized 63 nominees in six categories. The 2022 winners include:
- Inspiring Large Business: Arrival
- Inspiring Small Business: Ride Jaunt
