Rail Trail Pedestrian Bridge project in Charlotte one of several in N.C. (Spectrum News)

The I-277 south off ramp onto College Street will be closed for more than a year as work continues to build the roughly $24 million Rail Trail Pedestrian Bridge over I-277 connecting Uptown to South End. This crucial project will help people move between Uptown and South End without having to rely on cars or go out of their way to avoid crossing the highway.
