More people consider biking as gas prices rise (Spectrum News)

As gas prices rise, Terry Landsdell, Executive Director of bicycle advocacy group BikeWalkNC, a Charlotte Regional Transportation Coalition member, is continuing to work to make Charlotte bike friendly. Sustain Charlotte’s Director of Engagement Meg Fencil offers tips for taking up biking as a way to commute.

While some riders may opt for the bike to save money, Landsdell reminds residents that cycling reduces emissions and helps curb pollution as well. With hundreds of bike paths around Charlotte, trading the car for a bike is now a safe and easy option for many.
