We recommend taking a few minutes before you start your ride or walk to look at the map and familiarize yourself with the route! We will have paper maps available for all participants at check-in.
You can also open the route map on your phone via Google Maps. We also put together a set of turn-by-turn directions for the full route or the short route option that you can print out or view on your phone. Note: It's best to download and install the RunGo app ahead of time.

Welcome to Sustain Charlotte's Biketoberfest
Biketoberfest is your unique opportunity to explore our city on an epic, family-friendly scavenger hunt as you walk, run, or bike along a designated route and collect goodies and raffle tickets along the way!
Years ago, Sustain Charlotte started Biketoberfest to inspire hundreds of people to get around Charlotte without driving. Since then, our adventure race has become one of our biggest fundraising events of the year. This means that in one fun-filled day, YOU can help make a direct impact toward building a more healthy, equitable, and vibrant community for generations to come.
How does Biketoberfest work?
This family-friendly scavenger hunt takes place throughout the Charlotte area.
Participants are given adventure passports and are welcome to bike, walk, or use local transit to navigate the route and visit new destinations, support local businesses, see the infrastructure available to support safer riding, and collect stamps in their passports along the way. Participants are also welcome to dress up! Costumes are welcome.
At the end of the event, there is an after-party at Triple C Brewing, where participants can exchange those stamps for raffle tickets to win prizes. The after-party also includes vendors, food, live music, and a limited-release Biketoberfest beer!
