North Carolina residential solar has grown significantly over the past few years. North Carolina is one of the top states in the US for solar with 7,811.2 MW installed as of Q4 2021, according to North Carolina Solar. That’s enough to power 1,009,138 homes! While there are several forces driving this growth, an interest in sustainable energy sources and a desire to drive down energy costs are certainly key elements. North Carolina solar is expected to continue to grow in the coming years and Sunlight Financial is excited to be a part of the switch to solar.
Our company’s impact on the North Carolina community is important to us. Sunlight Financial has grown as a company and we enjoy helping local contractors do the same. As of 2022, we have developed partnerships with 85 North Carolina-based solar contractors. Through these partnerships, our contractor-partners are able to offer flexible, affordable financing solutions to help more homeowners go solar and reduce their carbon footprint. Thus far, more than 3,200 North Carolina solar system installs have been financed with a Sunlight Financial loan and that number increases every day.
Our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop with residential solar financing. One of our core values is passion, and Sunlight teammates are passionate about creating a sustainable future in a variety of ways.
