Welcome Isabella!

Hello! My name is Isabella Strenger Thomas, and I am a rising sophomore at Davidson College, originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I intend on majoring in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE).

At Davidson, I am a trip leader for the outdoors program and on the E-board for Young People’s Alliance and Bridge USA. When I’m not working, I love reading, yoga, and adventuring in the outdoors. 

I chose to work at Sustain Charlotte due to the multifaceted approach they take to community engagement. I am interested in pursuing a more equitable vision of the future that draws from a diverse stakeholder population. The localization in problem solving pushes me to learn more, not just about environmental issues, but about how to tailor solutions to different clientele. 

This summer, I will be writing informational newsletters, aiding in event planning for Biktoberfest, and creating outreach materials for transit travel guides.
