On this 10th anniversary of Biketoberfest, we celebrate the ways Sustain Charlotte has made it easier to get around by bike, thanks to support from our partners, donors, and over 5,000 Biketoberfest participants!

Together, our work has:

Bike priority network

Led to a vision and map for a citywide bike network and a Bicycle Priority Network


west side bike lanes

Helped raise the standard for safer bike lane design


PM bike lane

Increased funding for building bike lanes from $0 to $4M every year


long creek greenwy

Increased funding to build and expand greenways

Helped add protected bike lanes along 6th/5th across Uptown, Parkwood Ave., and The Plaza

Helped increase fines for vehicles parked in bike lanes

Helped establish record pedestrian and bicycle network funding

Supported improvements to the greenway network and Uptown CycleLink adjacent to the Panthers’ practice facility
